To My friend Urjeet and Niki Bhabhi

Today is Holi and today is the 1st time in so many years that I did not Play Holi with My friend Urjeet. Really missed him today. Miss all the fun we had with him, all the good times of our lives, so here is a small poem that I wrote for him and his wife Niki and I dedicate this poem to our Friendship. Hope they like it.

I want to tell you this Urjeet Dude,
I really don’t intend to be Rude.
But want to ask you why did you go away,
Those thoughts in memory always sway.
I knew you since we were little,
And can tell you that our friendship isn’t too brittle.
All those moments of fun and laughter,
Comes to my mind even faster.

All those times that you really helped,
I never thought you really slept.
Be it those printouts in the dark night,
Or the info of softwares when I was in fright.
I still remember those nights when we all used to drink,
Your wicked smile, your naughty wink.

Then an angel comes in your life,
And then she becomes your wife.
The news “Urjeet weds Niki”,
To us it was really freaky.
You made us realize that we are now fully grown,
And now each of us has to move ahead on our own.

With all the fun and laughter that we had,
We can’t do this any longer and that’s really sad.
But still we can talk to you on the phone,
And that makes us realize that we are not alone.

I still remember the day you left,
Our hearts felt like there was a theft.
But still there was a lot of happiness,
For your bright future and wonderful life filled with bliss.
With our heavy hearts and smiles on our faces, we bid you a good bye,
Just hoping you reach the limits of the sky.

Now when I go down the memory lane,
I became nostalgic as it all came.
Dint know how to tell you all these times,
So just wrote down some random lines.

All these things just make me emo,
But I believe for this I don’t need a Chemo.
Coz this stuff is no cancer, it’s straight from my heart,
And so it doesn’t kill and neither does it make me fart.
Had to end this on a funny note,
As this is the poem for you that I wrote.

-from your friend,
